Albania has plenty of beautiful lakes and rivers with crystal water. Some of the most impressive lakes and rivers are:
Ohrid Lake is in the southeastern of Albania and is the deepest lake (nearly 300 m) in the Balkan. Visit Albania writes that “The historical value and the diverse flora and fauna have helped Lake Ohrid to become one of UNESCO’s Cultural and Natural Heritage sites. There are a variety of aquatic species in the lake, the most famous of which is the Koran, known for being a particularly delicious fish. The city of Pogradec, well known for its climate, was built on the southwestern coast of Lake Ohrid. Alongside the shore there are several tourist centers such as Lini, Pojska, Pogradec, Drilon and Tushemisht, where many hotels and guesthouses offer comfortable accommodations for a wonderful and relaxing vacation.” This explains why Ohrid is part of UNESCO.

Valbona River is one of the longest rivers which is part of Valbona National Park. It steams from Prokletije, at the Albania Montenegro border in the north of Albania and flows throughout the Valbone Valley to Drin River. The water of this river is crystal and clean. During spring, summer and fall seasons tourists can enjoy better this magic picture and adventure this river offers. In Valbona river people can catch fish, swim but they also can do canoeing and kayaking. During these three seasons there are a lot of tours with groups of people.
